Honda Ridgeline Outshines F-150, Tacoma – Test Shows

It is a confusing automotive world we are living in today and things are not getting better despite newer vehicles coming out with more advanced driving technologies.

One mess that can’t escape our minds is with the blinding headlights on several stock vehicles. Names like the Toyota Corolla and the Jeep Grand Cherokee have headlights that can cause temporary blindness to other road users.

This use to be a problem commonly caused by pickup trucks but not anymore. According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, they feel that pickup trucks are no longer providing good night light coverage.

A recent research found that only the Honda Ridgeline has good lightings but it is still not the best. Other names like the Ford F-150 and Toyota Tacoma are far behind in terms of night light visibility.

We find this pretty bizarre, especially since IIHS once slated cars that cause blindness as a road hazard which they will consider in their safety tests in the future. But at least it is good to know that the pickup trucks are no longer as bright as normal vehicles.
