How Next Ford Bronco Can Revive A Toyota Classic

By  |

After more than two decades of being an absentee, the Ford Bronco is finally making a return and this has been confirmed by Ford when they announced on the development of the next-gen Bronco last year.

Ford revealed that they have agreed to bring back two iconic names in the utility market and they are the Bronco and the Ranger. Both vehicles will be developed in Michigan and they are projected to arrive before 2020.

This is some exciting stuff, especially when you take into account that the 4×4 SUV market has been all about the Jeep Wrangler. There is no room for competition but we believe the Bronco can change that. The Bronco’s popularity will open up the market for greater opportunities and this may also lead to the revival of a dead Toyota classic.

We are referring to the FJ Cruiser, which has been discontinued due to the Jeep Wrangler’s dominance. Toyota has been monitoring the Bronco’s development in hope for an opportunity and they have hence patented the name TJ Cruiser.

It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that a TJ Cruiser will most likely be a successor for the FJ Cruiser. Can this classic from Toyota finally hit its stride against the Bronco and Wrangler?
