Is Nissan Rogue Losing Its Attractiveness?

By  |

The latest generation Nissan Rogue made its debut back in January 2017 and at that time, it was the most sought-after vehicle here in the US. The Rogue leaped straight into sales glory, overtaking its rivals in the segment it competes in.

But towards Q4 of 2017, things started to slow down for the Rogue which then allowed rival Toyota RAV4 to walk away as the bestselling compact SUV of the year. The unexpected comeback from Toyota has forced Nissan into using its plan B and it is attractive financing.

With an APR that is significantly lower than its rivals, the Rogue managed to recover on the sales front but April saw the numbers saturated, thus leading the Rogue into a decline yet again. April saw Nisan moving only 23,331 Rogue and this translates to a decline of 14.8%.

While there is still a chance for the Rogue to recover, market watchers are against it as Nissan has already played their financing card. The Rogue has nowhere left to hide unless a big facelift happens to make the vehicle attractive again. Only time will tell on the Rogue’s situation at present moment.
