Kia Stinger GT vs Ford Fusion Sport: Which Is Fastest?

By  |

Kia has officially launched the Stinger GT and the car acts as their first-ever, road-legal, performance-focused vehicle. Seeing that the Stinger GT has the shape of a large sports sedan, perhaps the best thing to do right now is to compare it with the Ford Fusions Sport and see which performance car is faster.

The Stinger GT may have yet to reach American shores but when it does, it is expected to retail from $33,000. This is about the same calling price for the Ford Fusion Sport.

However, the base Stinger GT relies on the basic performance mill and it is a 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The motor can develop 255hp and 260ft-lbs of torque. With such output, the Stinger GT can hit 60mph from stop in 6 seconds flat.

The Ford Fusions Sport, on the other hand, relies on the twin-turbo V6 engine that can develop 325hp and 380ft-lbs of torque. This setup allows the Fusion Sport to hit 60mph from stop in 5.3 seconds.

Judging by the looks of it, the Fusion Sport is the winner here as it offers more speed than the Stinger GT. The Fusions Sport has beaten the Stinger GT on papers but a proper race is still needed to identify the superior car. So, which is fastest?
