Mazda: EVs Are Ticking Time Bombs For Environmental Disaster!

By  |

The majority of carmakers worldwide are all leaning towards electric powertrains for their future products as it will aid them in meeting the stricter emission regulations and also save the environment.

Despite this known fact, one carmaker is still pending to leap into the EV trend and it is none other than Mazda. It got us wondering, why is that?

Today, Mazda shared that this is because they are still unconvinced that electrification is really good for everyone. While it may hurt demand for gasoline, EVs are not exactly green in nature as the expired lithium batteries will create an environmental disaster.

Batteries are good but they can’t last forever. Sooner or later, the old batteries will need to get disposed and this can have a negative impact on the environment.

Mazda then went on to promote their innovative ways of improving fuel economy and that is through high compression engines. Without the aid of turbochargers, the SkyActiv mills from Mazda can offer the best balance in power and fuel economy.

Things are bound to get better for Mazda in the future to come but they may resort to electric should the trend is to hurt them financially.
