Move Aside Dodge Demon & Lotus, Aston Valkyrie Is The Lightweight Champ

By  |

There are many ways to make a car faster and one of them is to keep things light. The latest Dodge Challenger Demon took muscle car lightness to a different level and it resulted in the car being named as the fastest quarter-mile stock vehicle in automotive history.

If that is not convincing enough, you can always look at Lotus. The cars from Lotus never really get a powertrain makeover due to its heavy interest in cutting weight. Every new Lotus produced gets lighter in weight thus resulting in faster performance.

Despite the Dodge Demon and the cars from Lotus being the most talked about vehicles in the field of lightness, it is the upcoming Aston Martin Valkyrie that brags having the best weight-saving characters.

The picture above was released by Aston Martin earlier today and you can see a lot of hollow areas on the car’s design. Aston Martin revealed that the Valkyrie is styled for maximum lightness and the innovations also took into account of the required downforce. The most shocking thing here is that the Aston Martin logo has also been replaced so that the carmaker can make it lighter.

The next-gen Valkyrie is expected to make its debut later this year and we can’t wait to check out the vehicle in person.
