Next Cadillac CT6 Ends 26 Years Of Non-Exclusives!

GM’s luxury arm, Cadillac, has not managed to steal the headlines in the past decade or so and some blamed this on the carmaker losing its exclusive entity which it once had in the past.

Well, if the upcoming CT6 is to be referred to, the exclusive era of Cadillac is about to make its return. Cadillac has confirmed that the CT6 will be running on a 4.2L twin-turbo V8 engine that can develop 550hp and 627ft-lbs of torque.

What makes it extra special for the car is the fact that the engine is offered exclusively on Cadillac’s future cars instead of getting passed around the brands within GM. Hence, it is right to say that the CT6 will be the first Cadillac-exclusive car after 26 years of engine sharing.

But of course, such a powerful mill won’t be offered from the base model as Cadillac has confirmed that it will only be available with the upcoming, V-Sport trim. The CT6 V-Sport will be making its debut at the New York Auto Show later today.
