Next Honda Accord Steering Joke May Turn Into Reality

The Honda Accord is one of the world’s most popular midsized sedans and it is easy to understand why. The Accord often comes out with brand new technologies to offer and it is also rated highly for its on-road performance.

So when Honda confirmed on the development of a new generation Accord, we can’t help but to expect many new technologies coming with the vehicle. Even Honda is excited for their flagship car and they even went as far as creating a massive joke for it.

Back on April Fool’s last month, Honda released a teaser of the new technologies and the focus was on a steering wheel that comes with emoticon functions. The emoticons are scattered on the steering wheel and pressing on them will produce a unique sound through the honking system. The joke went viral and it received mostly positive response from the public.

This positive response is probably why Honda suddenly revealed that the next-gen Accord may come with the new steering wheel. Honda was merely responding to a question on what the next-gen Accord will offer and they replied emoticons on steering wheel.

It is unsure if Honda was joking or they are being serious about it. The most Honda could do is offer the revolutionary emoticon honks as an add-on feature for the next-gen Accord. Only then will we be able to see if the public truly wants one.
