Next Jeep Wrangler Face Reduced Prospects, Ford Bronco To Blame

By  |

Every passing day brings us closer to the release of the next-gen Jeep Wrangler and the same can be said for the Ford Bronco. The latter is an iconic vehicle from Ford that has gone missing for more than two decades already but it is confirmed to be making a return with a new-gen model before 2020.

The timing of the confirmation from Ford is the biggest factor here because Jeep has already hit the final stages of development for the next-gen Wrangler. The Wrangler won’t be making leaps on design and powertrain as their primary focus is to be lighter. The spy shots surrounding the next-gen Wrangler has already confirmed on this as we saw little changes made to the design.

For the 4×4 lovers, they are beginning to worry for the Wrangler as they are afraid that Jeep is not going all-out with the upgrades as they never anticipated the Bronco’s return. Back in the days, the Bronco is the only real challenger for the Wrangler and its absence may have left Jeep in a complacent mode.

So if Ford is to take this opportunity, they can go all out with the Bronco and hope to conquer the 4×4 SUV market. It would certainly be something we would love to see as the Bronco can hand Jeep that much-needed wake-up call.
