The Mercedes-AMG C43 is one of the bestselling sports luxury cars in the world and it is easy to understand why. The car is priced below average for the power and luxuries which it has to offer.

The C43 has made its mark thanks to the application of a powerful 3L twin-turbo V6 that can generate about 362hp and 384ft-lbs of torque. It is a nice output for a car that is made to fill in the void between the C-Class and the C63 so what sort of improvement can we expect from the next-gen C43?

Well, it the latest news on the 2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is to be referred to, we may see the C43 switching the turbocharged V6 for a straight-6 mill. This is exactly what is happening on the S-Class and we can expect the future C43 to follow suit.

Having a straight-6 engine can further push the power boundaries on the C43 and it will also make the car more fun to drive. But of course, this is just our prediction from our end. Do you think the new inline-6 will replace the twin-turbo V6 on the current C43?
