Next Nissan Leaf: It Can Outsell Tesla Model 3

By  |

The Model 3 is the next big thing to come from Tesla Motors and over 300,000 individuals have placed a deposit on the car. This cannot be helped because the Model 3 is going to be affordable to own and it will also have more than 200 miles of driving range to offer.

Everything about the Tesla Model 3 sounds great and it got the interested parties comparing the car to the new Chevrolet Bolt EV. Well, if you are among them, you should also acknowledge the Nissan Leaf as a threat because the car is still able to sell well despite of its age.

Last year saw the Leaf making the biggest gain in their sales history and it is surprising if you are to consider that the car is old, has poor resale value and is a lot less attractive than the Bolt. We all thought that the Bolt’s arrival will kill the Leaf but that did not happen. The Leaf did the unthinkable by making more leaps in sales, as if it is unaffected by the Bolt.

Later this year, Nissan is expected to unveil the next-gen Leaf and it is expected to come out with the ProPilot autonomous system as well as 200 miles of driving range. With the aging Leaf excelling in sales, it is safe to say that the next-gen model is going to be a huge threat to rival EV cars.
