Next Toyota Supra & BMW Z4: Differences Only With Name & Design?

By  |

This year promises to be the year where Toyota will pull the curtains off the next-gen Supra. The highly-anticipated sports car has been in the works for many years already and 2018 sounds like a fair time for the vehicle to make its debut.

We already know plenty about the next Supra such as the fact that the car is being built alongside the next-gen BMW Z4 and it will come in three different trims. Toyota has also mentioned before that the partnership with BMW won’t influence much on the performance outcome of the Supra.

But then again, a self-claimed insider from BMW begs to differ when he revealed earlier today that both the Z4 and the Supra will be near identical to one another. Both cars will be offered with the same engines, transmission and chassis.

The only differences would be with the name and body style. The Supra will be made as a pure sports car whereas the Z4 is gunning to become the ultimate luxury roadster. You can check out the insider report in detail here but we would advise you to take it with loads of salt.
