Next Toyota Supra Should Stick To Early Hybrid Signs

The next-gen Toyota Supra is one of the most anticipated vehicles around as many can’t wait to check out on the sort of performance that will feature with the car.

Towards the end of last year, the rumors were rife in claiming that the next-gen Supra will be relying on a performance hybrid powertrain when released. This year however, the word around the block is that BMW mills will be the heartbeat of the next Supra. The latest rumors further added that it will be a four-cylinder mill that can develop 248hp.

This certainly sounds disappointing as the power figures are two steps behind the iconic Supra from the 90s. The new rumors got the majority of the Supra fans wishing for the old hybrid claims to come true because the outcome sounded more exciting.

It was said that the next-gen Supra will borrow the performance hybrid setup of the Lexus LC500h thus allowing it to produce 450hp. Even the spy videos are pointing to the application of hybrid hence the Supra should stick to the old rumors and not belittle the hopes of the fans through the lower expectations.
