Come next year, Volkswagen is expected to launch the next-gen Jetta and we can’t wait to check out what the car will have to offer.

Today, new spy shots of the next-gen Jetta surfaced online and we are surprised to see the vehicle looking ready to make its debut. As how you can see below, the Jetta looks sleek and sharp. There is also a lot of sportiness with the next Jetta and this is thanks to the lines running down the side of the car.

The Jetta will be offered with a number of powertrain options when released and the base model is expected to borrow the 2L turbo-4 that is being used on the Volkswagen Golf GTI. This means that the Jetta will have about 220hp to offer and this puts it on the front foot against the latest Honda Civic Si.

The Jetta is also tipped to arrive with a hybrid powertrain that is tuned for the best balance in power and fuel economy. More details on this are expected to surface when the Jetta makes its official unveiling at the next LA Auto Show.
