Porsche 911 Turbo S Is Quicker Than Ludicrous Mode

By  |

0-60mph times are commonly relied on to help identify which car is fast and the latest Tesla Model S P100D with Ludicrous Mode is near the top of the pecking order. The all-new Porsche 911 Turbo S is a level lower but surprisingly, it is still able to outdo the P100D on the straight line.

This was confirmed by various major auto journalists when they all agreed that the Porsche 911 Turbo S is the hardest accelerating vehicle. By hard, they don’t mean that the car is difficult to sprint. Instead, they are referring to the gush of power that comes from flooring the gas pedal on the car.

Sure, 0-60mph times for the Porsche 911 Turbo S may not be under 3 seconds but it is a lot faster from 0-30, 0-40 and 0-50mph. Motor Trend got into deep waters with the subject when they tested out the 911 Turbo S and they found that the sports car jumps off the line faster than the Ferrari LaFerrari.

Now we have seen the LaFerrari leaving the Model S biting its dust and if the 911 Turbo S is faster, it cements the fact that the car from Porsche is not worried about the P100D at all. Such an accomplishment also helps raise the expectations for Porsche’s future EV sports car, the Mission E.

Your article has incorrect information. In the Motor Trend article 0-60, 991.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S is 2.5 Seconds. Every article I have read, which is a lot as the 911 Turbo S is my dream car, has 0-60 times 2.5 to 2.8 seconds.
