Porsche Mission E Takes A Page Off Tesla Model 3 Playbook

By  |

Remember back when Tesla first announced on the Model 3. It eventually led to them taking in pre-order deposits for the car. Despite not have a Model 3 to show at that time, over 300,000 individuals never hold back when offering $1,000 for the Model 3.

The deposits came to good use as it helps Tesla fund the development of the Model 3. The result is with the timely release of the Model 3, unlike how it was with the Model S and the Model X.

Today, we came across an individual who claims to have made a deposit for the Porsche Mission E. The sports EV from Porsche is still about a year away from its debut but it looks like interested buyers can already deposit $1,000 for the car at a nearby dealer.

We don’t know the details of it but we do know that the dealer promised to sell the Mission E at MSRP. If true, it sure sounds like Porsche has taken some inspirations from Tesla with sales of the upcoming Mission E.

The only difference here is that Porsche has already brought out the Mission E Concept instead of forcing customers to put on blind faith for the car.

The Model S is hardly making a “timely” introduction – it is at least one year late in its production numbers.
