RAM 1500 Overtakes Chevrolet Silverado, Jokes Now On GM

The large pickup truck market here in the US has never stopped growing and it is being dominated by the Ford F-150. The latter has been selling so well that there seems to be no way for rival models to challenge its dominance in the segment.

Today, a sales report for April 2017 got released and it saw little changes in the pickup truck scene. The Ford F-150 is still a bestseller and it continues to stretch the gap with the competition. This is not surprising as we don’t see how the Chevrolet Silverado and RAM 1500 can make a comeback.

Speaking of which, the second spot is now a fiercely contested position. For the second straight month, the RAM 1500 managed to edge past the Silverado in monthly sales and it reduces the sales gap between the two.

On the overall sales figures for 2017, RAM 1500 is now 6,000 units behind the Chevrolet Silverado. It is very tight between the two and the upcoming months will determine who the winner will be.

It is pretty unfortunate for Chevrolet as they did little wrong with the Silverado. The problem is actually with GM that has been aggressive and loud when provoking rivals. Hence, seeing the Silverado sitting at the bottom of the big three will put the joke on GM.
