Subaru Viziv Pickup Could Really Hurt Honda Ridgeline

By  |

The idea of Subaru developing a pickup truck sounds absurd because the carmaker has zero experiences or reputation in the field of utes. Even so, it is still wrong to write off the possibility for a Subaru pickup truck because it may just happen in the near future.

Think about it. Just recently ago, at the LA Auto Show, Subaru unveiled the Viziv 7 Concept which is a 7-seat large SUVs targeted at competing against the Honda Pilot and the upcoming Volkswagen Atlas.

Subaru has made no attempts in the large SUV segment before and their desire to start now means that they may consider other segments that were once a taboo in their eyes. The way we see it, the Viziv 7 can have a pickup truck variant just like how it is for the Pilot and the new Ridgeline.

Independent designer Theophiluschin agrees with us on this and he has also rendered his visualization of the pickup truck from Subaru. The picture is as per above and we would really like to hear on what you think of it. Should a Subaru pickup truck happen?

Obviously you do not recal the Subaru pickups and 4×4 wagons of a number of years ago when you state that Subaru has zero wxperince building UTES.

Heck yeah. As long as it is a compact pickup. Don’t compete with the big boys, steal the market they left behind!
