Tesla Model 3: Buyers Can Kiss EV Rebates Goodbye?

By  |

Are you part of the 300,000 strong that have placed a deposit on the Tesla Model 3? If you are, we may have some bad news for you. New reports have surfaced and they are claiming that the Model 3 has suffered a year-long delay in production.

The word is that Tesla is unable to hit full throttle on the production front and this is due to parts being extremely limited. To make things worse, Tesla has only started producing the battery cell for the Model 3. They are still very far away from getting a big volume supply of the car.

If the annual-long delay allegation is true, it will spell more trouble for Tesla as the EV rebates will no longer be applicable. In other words, prices of the Model 3 will experience a hike and this is never a positive sight.

The only good news here is that the above is based on insider reports and rumors. Nothing about it is official hence you should take it with loads of salt.
