Tesla Model 3 Should Fear Nissan Leaf, Here’s Why

By  |

Nissan has confirmed on the development of the next-gen Leaf and the vehicle promises to be the best affordable EV car yet.

If the teasers from Nissan are to be referred to, the next-gen Leaf will have at least 250 miles of driving range to offer and also the ProPilot system. The latter is an autonomous system which Nissan claims can perform better than Tesla’s AutoPilot.

With studies showing that consumers are willing to pay more for a basic autonomous system, the ProPilot’s application on the future Leaf has greatly raised the prospects of the car. It also explains why the next-gen Leaf is currently the most searched EV car yet.

The icing on the cake would be with the pricing of the Leaf. Nissan wants the Leaf to set an example in affordable EV pricing and they are targeting a lower MSRP for the car. While that is unlikely to come true, seeing the future Leaf adopting the current sticker price would still be massive for the market.

All in all, the next-gen Leaf promises to revolutionize the affordable EV market and this is why the upcoming Tesla Model 3 should be afraid of the car.
