Tesla Model S 100D Gets 0.6s Performance Upgrade

By  |

The media has never been too kind towards Tesla as most of the reports involving the EV carmaker promote negativity. Well, despite being the subject of most controversial matters in the automotive industry right now, Tesla can still do some positives like upgrading the Model S 100D.

Tesla announced earlier today that they are pushing out a free software upgrade for the Model S 100D and this will see improved performance for the vehicle.

Prior to the upgrade, the Model S 100D can sprint from 0-60mph in about 4.2 seconds. With the upgrade, the car can hit 60mph in just 3.6 seconds. This translates to an improvement of about 0.6 seconds – which is really huge in performance context.

We specifically mentioned the Model S 100D numerous times above because many that have checked out the announcement on Tesla’s website misread the upgrade as the P100D. Obviously, the P100D is faster with sub-3 seconds 0-60mph. The 100D is not that car just so you know.
