Tesla Model S: Dwindling Figures Left Fanboys Worried
It is a rocky start to 2017 for Tesla Inc as the Model S experienced a drastic slowdown in sales. Tesla revealed that they only managed to sell 1,900 units of the Model S in January last month and this is about 17.4% down from the January of 2016.
It is quite a huge drop by Tesla’s standards and some Tesla fanboys on an automotive forum has expressed their concern about it. If you share the same worry, then let us tell you that things are not as bad as how they appear to be.
The Tesla Model S may have experienced a decline in sales but you should also note that the Model X has made a huge jump in 2017. January saw the EV crossover inclining by 300% from the January of last year. In total, Tesla sold 1,500 units of the Model X and this is worth celebrating.
The icing on the cake is with the fact that the Model S continues to become the bestselling green vehicle here in the US. The car outsold the likes of Chevrolet Volt, Toyota Prius Prime, Chevrolet Bolt, Nissan Leaf and many others in the month of January.
