Tesla Model S: Q1 Shows Model 3 Is Not A Need
Many would say that the upcoming Model 3 holds the key to big volume success for Tesla Corporation but that is not exactly accurate at all. This is because without the Model 3, Tesla is still able to grow at a rapid pace and this is supported by Q1 sales.
Tesla revealed earlier today that it delivered about 25,000 vehicles in Q1 2017 which translates to a whopping 69% increase over the same period last year. The Model S holds the biggest slice of the pie with 13,450 units sold whereas the Model X only acquires 4,650 vehicles.
When the Model 3 arrives, it should open the doors to 6-figure sales annually due to it being developed as a high volume vehicle. As it stands, there are more than 350,000 orders for the Model 3 and all that is left is for Tesla to deliver them.
The fact of the matter is that with or without the Model 3, Tesla will continue to grow in numbers. The only difference is speed in growth.
