The Model S is Tesla’s flagship EV car and it offers the best electric driving range as well as performance. But even with such accomplishment, not utilizing the car properly may leave you with an unfixed range anxiety.

To help you in improving your driving range for a long-distance journey, we have decided to share the Model S’ battery consumption based on the cruising speed of the vehicle.

The figures which we are about to relay here are based on a research done in Germany and they have been converted to US units of measurements. It is also important to keep in mind that the test involved only the Model S 85.

At 49.7mph, the Model S will consume about 254.2Wh/mile with a total range of 279 miles.
At 62.1mph, the Model S will consume about 281.6Wh/mile with a total range of 252.2 miles.
At 74.5mph, the Model S will consume about 328.3Wh/mile with a total range of 216.2 miles.
At 86.9mph, the Model S will consume about 386.9Wh/mile with a total range of 183.9 miles.
At 105.6mph, the Model S will consume about 498.8Wh/mile with a total range of 142.2 miles.
