Tesla Model Y: Keeping Lengths Short To Prevent Complications

By  |

Dangling and messed up wires on cars can be a pain to any vehicle owner and this is something which Tesla wants to address with the upcoming Model Y.

Tesla revealed earlier today that they have commenced development of the Model Y and they want the vehicle to have the shortest length of wires around. For a car that runs purely on electric, this is an important goal since having fewer and shorter wires can really help in saving cost and preventing complications.

Tesla said that they are targeting a total of 328-feet of wiring for the Model Y and this is marginally lower than the Model 3. The latter has 5,000-feet of wiring, which is half the length of the wires on the Model S.

With wire length decreasing in measurements with every new Tesla vehicle, it can really help in addressing and managing any electrical component on the vehicle.
