Tesla Shows Cheap Face Towards Semi Truck!

By  |

The cars from Tesla can be really expansive to own but this is slowly changing as Tesla begins to diversify their market – starting with the newly launched Model 3. Unlike the Model S or X, the Model 3 is a lot cheaper to own although affordability is still questionable.

Soon, Tesla will start producing the EV Semi and we can confirm today that the truck is going to be like the Model 3 for the world of freights.

As how it was reported by InsideEVs, Tesla’s Semi is priced from $150,000 and $180,000. The former comes with a 300 miles of electric driving range whereas the latter has 500 miles of range to offer. The pricing may appear bombastic but it is actually cheaper than the market average.

Just as an example, the Semi from Tesla is about $10,000 more expansive than a very basic Freightliner Cascadia. When paired with the fact that the Semi will be loaded with state-of-the-art technology and a proven green powertrain, it makes the vehicle from Tesla appear cheap.

“Proven green technology” – like all electric vehicles, they are powered mostly by coal and natural gas. And if the Chinese really believe that electric cars will reduce their extreme polution, they are extremely stupid – automobiles have very little ability to produce the kind of pollution they are suffering from
and getting rid of gas powered cars will have almost no effect.
