Toyota 86: Can Outlast Alfa Romeo Giulia, Ford Mustang

By  |

Car fans have never been too kind towards the latest Toyota 86 and this is due to the fact that the sports car does not have an adequate amount of power to match its sporty appearance.

The 86 is severely lacking in power that a stock Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid can outpace the 86 on the straight line. Things are really bad when a pure sports car is slower than a large minivan, am I right?

But in Toyota’s defence, the 86 is really fun to drive. The fun aspect of the 86 is similar to that of the Mazda MX-5 Miata hence the best way to truly enjoy the sports car from Toyota is on the curvy roads.

The other advantage with the 86 is that the car can outlast just about any other sports car on this planet. We just learned about this today when Consumer Reports released their new top 10 most reliable vehicles ranking and it saw the 86 being the only sports car on that list.

This basically means that the 86 won’t overheat easily when pushed to the limits on the track – unlike how it is with other sports car.

So if you are to place the 86 on the track with the likes of the Ford Mustang and Alfa Romeo Giulia QV to see which car will die first while taking into account of the speed and distance covered, the 86 is bound to come out as the winner.
