Toyota C-HR Puts Diesel Allegations To Rest!

The C-HR is rapidly growing to become one of the world’s most popular crossovers and Toyota wants to turn this dream into a certainty by launching more C-HR variations in the near future.

The confirmation on this was made by Toyota earlier this year although the carmaker never really offered any details on the matter. The rumours, however, were quick to claim that Toyota is lining up a number of new powertrains for the C-HR and one of them is going to be a turbocharged diesel mill. The engine will be a 2L turbocharged diesel that is intended for heavy duty performance.

Well, today we can confirm that the rumours are wrong and there isn’t going to be a C-HR diesel at all. Toyota trashed the rumours earlier today when they shared that there is no such plans with the crossover.

Toyota then moved on to highlight on a hydrogen-fueled, FCEV setup which they are interested in offering with the C-HR.
