Toyota Mirai: New Milestone Hands FCEV A Big Boost!

By  |

It has been about 3 years since Toyota launched the Mirai here in the US and today, the car managed to hit a brand new milestone.

It was revealed by Toyota that the Mirai have surpassed the 3,000 mark in sales at the start of 2018 hence making it the bestselling hydrogen-powered fuel-cell vehicle.

In greater detail, the Mirai now holds about 80% of all FCEVs sold here in the US. This is a market share that is significantly better than rival Honda Clarity.

The numbers may not be huge but they serve as a positive sign where a growing number of consumers are accepting FCEVs. Things are likely to pick up pace for FCEVs once new hydrogen refuelling stations are made available for the public.
