Toyota Tundra: TRD Levels It With Ford F-150 Raptor

By  |

When it comes to volume sales, the Ford F-150 is the leading name in the pickup truck scene. The Toyota Tundra is far behind the F-150 on this front and this could be because of the vehicle’s age old offerings.

Today, however, things got a lot more interesting for the Tundra as Toyota is now offering a TRD Supercharger with the range-topping model. The TRD Supercharger is offered as an add-on for the Tundra with the decade-old 5.7L V8 and it greatly boosts the pickup truck’s performance.

With the TRD Supercharger, the Tundra can churn out 504hp and sprint from 0-60mph faster than the F-150 Raptor. This is quite an improvement for the Tundra, especially when going against the new and improved F-150 Raptor.

If you are interested, the TRD Supercharger can be found on “Parts Sales Guide” over at Toyota’s website. Even with the add-on however, the Tundra still needs a major makeover if it wants to be more competitive in the pickup truck scene.
