Crash Bandicoot To Cushion Spyro Reignited Trilogy Exclusivity?

By  |

Activision has scored big with the release of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy and this simply proves that the majority of gamers are into nostalgic titles. The success of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy has led Activision into confirming on the return of another old icon, Spyro.

The dragon-themed video game will return into the scene in June next month and the game is called Spyro Reignited Trilogy. But because Spyro was made famous on the Sony PS1, it is highly likely for the game to be a PS4 timed exclusive like how it is for Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy.

Speaking of which, there have been hints on Crash Bandicoot turning into a multiplatform title soon but nobody knows exactly when. That was the case until today when Activision officially revealed on their website that Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy will be arriving on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and the PC on June 29 next month.

This is around the same time Spryo Reignited Trilogy is expected to debut on the PS4 and strongly suggests that the Crash Bandicoot will be utilized to keep gamers on non-Playstation platforms occupied for a year before Spyro turns into a multiplatform title.

It’s already been confirmed for XBOX One. It will be released at the same time as PS4.

You can order the Reignited Trilogy on Amazon for Xbox One, same release date. Would certainly be groovy if it was eventually released for PC (Nostalgia attack @ PC max settings *drool*), but I’m not gonna hold my breath on that!

If you did any research for the Spyro Reignited Trilogy you would find that it’s not a time exclusive and releasing on both the Xbox One and PS4 on September 21. I don’t know how you could have gotten this wrong. You obviously didn’t look at OFFICIAL announcements from Activision or retailers that have the game for pre-order.
