Cyberpunk 2077: Where Art Thou?

After launching The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, CD Projekt Red revealed that they have moved on to developing newer IPs and one of them has been confirmed to be called Cyberpunk 2077.

The RPG title will have a steampunk-filled sci-fi theme with an action-adventure-oriented plot that will keep players engaged in the universe. CDPR once described Cyberpunk 2077 to be like The Witcher Series but for the futuristic sci-fi world.

If this is to indicate anything, Cyberpunk 2077 will have an in-depth plot and a strong focus for single player adventure. However, Cyberpunk 2077 won’t be sitting out of the online multiplayer trend and this was confirmed by CDPR earlier today.

The game developer revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have a multiplayer mode although it won’t be the primary aspect of the game. Now for the bigger question, when will Cyberpunk 2077 debut?

It has been about 3 years (if we recall correctly) since we heard the game to be in development. This is the average length of time for a developer to develop a massive AAA IP hence soon would be the appropriate word to predict Cyberpunk 2077’s coming.

If we have to put a period for Cyberpunk 2077’s debut, it would be somewhere in Q3 2018. It would make sense because CDPR is likely to be at E3 2018 and they can use their stage time to promote Cyberpunk 2077 before launching the game. What do you think?
