Fallout 4 VR, Elder Scrolls 6 Forcing Fallout 5 Into A Lengthy Delay?

By  |

Fallout 4 is officially the bestselling Fallout game around and this means that we will definitely see the development of Fallout 5. Bethesda has said before that they want to keep the Fallout series for as long as possible but they never mentioned anything about waiting time.

So when can you expect Fallout 5 to get released?

If you predicted 2020, you best check again because that is unlikely to happen at all. Bethesda is now really occupied with new IPs and they are also stuck with the development of Fallout 4 VR.

The virtual reality version of Fallout 4 is currently in their best interest and they are hoping to have something solid to show within a year from now. Following that, Bethesda is expected to move on with the development of their next massive RPG title, Elder Scrolls 6.

Fans of the Elder Scrolls series have long been waiting for a sequel to happen and they are disappointed by the fact that Bethesda has not started working on it. At this rate, Elder Scrolls 6 will become the focus once Fallout 4 VR gets released and it is likely to eat up about 3-5 years before getting launched.

If Bethesda is to move on to develop Fallout 5 following the release of Elder Scrolls 6, we can expect the game to arrive somewhere in 2025, which is a very long way away.
