Fallout 76 Only Strengthens Lengthy Wait For Fallout 5!

Towards the end of last year, we discussed here about the potential year for Bethesda to launch Fallout 5. We personally believe that Fallout 5 won’t debut anytime earlier than 2024.

Well, our expectation has been strengthened today after Bethesda confirmed on Fallout 76. The upcoming title is going to get unveiled at E3 this year and it promises to be a multiplayer online, standalone Fallout video game.

Keeping in mind that the Elder Scrolls Series received the same treatment through The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76 is likely to act as a lengthy buffer for Fallout 5.

Another thing to note that Bethesda has got a number of AAA projects to attend to and among them is Elder Scrolls 6. We don’t expect Elder Scrolls 6 to pop-up instantaneously and it will probably take Bethesda about 2 years to release the game. After all they did say that they have not started anything with Elder Scrolls 6 last year.

Once Elder Scrolls 6 gets released, Bethesda will then consider the development of Fallout 5. Fallout 5’s may eat up 2-3 years of development time hence making it likely for the game to debut no earlier than 2024.
