GTA 6: More Signs Pointing To An Announcement This Year

By  |

The last time Rockstar released a game, the year was 2013 and the title and the title launched was GTA 5. Grand Theft Auto 5 ended up being a huge hit that Rockstar can go multiple years without having a product to maintain their finances.

But of course, the profits from GTA 5 won’t last and Rockstar will still need to produce a new game to maintain their positive financial reports. This year will see that happening as Rockstar has confirmed on the release of Red Dead Redemption 2.

The sequel to Red Dead Redemption is expected to become a western-themed ‘GTA’ video game and it promises to offer a stellar gameplay experience. But unlike GTA, Red Dead Redemption 2 is not expected to be as popular as GTA 5 hence Rockstar may need to revert back to launching one new game per year for financial reasons.

With this in mind, reports are now suggesting that Rockstar will announce on GTA 6’s production towards the end of this year and the highly anticipated sequel to GTA 5 will debut in 2020.

2018 feels like the best time to announce on GTA 6 via official means as the hype created can keep Rockstar in the loop of consumers’ discussions for a long time.
