Resident Evil REmake 2 & 7 Will Serve Different Purposes

By  |

Despite suffering from a mountain load of criticism from professional critics for the way Resident Evil 6 was produced, Capcom remained adamant as they commence the development of two new Resident Evil titles. The first is a remake of Resident Evil 2 called REmake 2 while the second will be Resident Evil 7.

The aim here is for Capcom to make the Resident Evil series appealing to everyone. In case you are unaware, the purists have hated the action gameplay that took over horror since Resident Evil 4. On the other hand, the last Resident Evil Trilogy saw a sharp growth in popularity as it appeals to the newer gamers.

The best solution for this is to produce REmake 2 for the purists and Resident Evil 7 for the mass market. REmake 2 is necessary as it is based on the best survivor horror game, Resident Evil 2. REmake 2 will be coming out later this year and once that is done, Capcom will focus on developing Resident Evil 7. What do you think?

resident evil 2 remake WILL NOT BE COMING OUT THIS YEAR! they can not develop that game in a little over 12 months, the original version took 2 years and that was for the playstation 1, 2017 will be the year, unfortunately though, very true

RE7 has been in development at least since Summer 2013, and Kawata already mentioned in the interviews of October 2014 that RE7 was being developed by the bigger team of the Development Division 1. RE2 Remake obtained the green light in Augost 2015, some 8 months and half ago. If RE2 Remake is going to be an AAA game, we wouldn’t see it till the lates of 2018 begginigns of 2019. So if it comes at late of 2016 (what I doubt) or along the 2017, that means that is using a smaller team and budget (something like RE: Rev2).
