The Witcher 4: Don’t Get Too Excited Yet
After all the speculation, it seems like CDPR has finally admitted that The Witcher 3 will not be the end of the Witcher universe. When asked if there is any chance that there might be another Witcher game in the future, CDPR made it clear that they have invested a lot in the Witcher universe and that they are not ready to let it go yet.
While that could mean that we will be getting a new Witcher game in the future, now is not the time to get excited over it. We know that CDPR is working on the new Cyberpunk 2077 game right now and while they have not announced a release date yet, they did say that the game will arrive sometime in between 2017 to 2022.
Even if things goes well and we get to see the game this year, it will be years before we get to see something from the new Witcher game.
Fans have been debating about who the new protagonist should be since Geralt will not be returning. Some players think that it should be a new unknown Witcher from the other school but other think that Ciri would make a great protagonist.
CDPR receive a lot of hate recently after it was revealed that they trademark Cyberpunk but the developers have since responded to their fans assuring them that the move was to protect themselves and not to go after the other creators.
