2012 MacBook Pro Free Machine Upgrade Is Still On The Table!

Yes your read that right. If you happen to own the 2012 Apple MacBook Pro, you can enjoy a newer MacBook model free-of-charge.

The promotion is still active and it is Apple’s way of apologizing for equipping the 2012 15” MacBook Pro Retina with faulty batteries. But of course, you will need to meet the requirements if you want to enjoy the free upgrade.

For starters, you must own a 2012 MacBook Pro Retina 15” with faulty batteries. To find out if the battery is problematic, you can install Coconut Battery. Use the tool to measure your battery capacity and if your MacBook has a capacity that is below 80%, you are eligible for the upgrade.

All you have to do is bring your MacBook to an Apple Store and request for a battery swap. The store will then say that they have no parts and will instead offer you a 2015 refurbished MacBook Pro. It may not sound like much but you will get a newer model and save a lot of money from it.
