Android 8.0 Oreo: Trashing Reports Of Delay
A couple of weeks ago, tech insiders and rumors were all loud in claiming that Android 8.0 Oreo will make a late entry this year. In other words, Android 8.0 Oreo will not be able to arrive in July, the month which Android Nougat got rolled out.
Well, today we can safely say that the rumors are wrong and this is because Android Oreo’s development is already in progress as we speak. Google may not have said anything yet but their silent behavior in recent weeks is strongly suggesting so. Those that are used to Google’s way of doing things should know better that silence means something big is coming up.
The obvious answer is Android 7.1.2, which is going to be the finalized version of Nougat. The update is expected to escape its Beta status before the end of this month and this will be quickly followed by Android O’s developer invitation.
The timing of things is neither too early nor too late for Android Oreo, especially if you are to consider that the developer’s preview of previous Android versions happened as follow:
L Preview – June 26
M Preview – May 28
N Preview – March 9
