HTC 10 Laughs Off U11 Durability Ratings

By  |

The all-new U11 may be described as the best smartphone ever produced by HTC but there are some departments where it has failed to show any signs of improvement. One particular department is durability.

Earlier today, the U11 was seen participating in a durability test conducted by JerryRigEverything and the device scored really low. Everything went well for the HTC U11 until it went through the bend test. The U11 is so vulnerable to bending which led it to failing the durability test.

For the full details, you can check out the video of the test below. For the HTC fans, they are disappointed by the result as it means that the U11 is a step backwards from the HTC 10. The latter scored big in the durability test whereas its successor experienced a completely opposite outcome.

That was my biggest concern. I have an HTC 10 and I usually by a new HTC every 2 years. I had read in a prerelease review that the U11 failed a drop test miserably with pieces of the glass falling out when it cracked. I was hoping it was due to pre-production samples, but I guess not. I’ll be keeping my “10” for longer this time.
