LG G6: Android Oreo Has Finally Landed!

By  |

Utilizing an LG flagship smartphone is not as great as it sounds and this is due to the poor support from the South Korean tech manufacturer. Despite the G6 getting a lot of positive feedbacks from the public, the flagship phone is the last major device of its kind to get Android 8.0 Oreo.

One of our readers handed us a shocking update via email earlier today when he revealed that the G6 he purchased a year ago had just received Android Oreo firmware upgrade with April Security updates in the UK and this is really late for a flagship item.

If that is not bad enough, the Oreo that arrived on the G6 is version 8.0 instead of 8.1. It gets worst when you learned that the Oreo update for the G6 has arrived around the same time Samsung is upgrading the firmware of the old Galaxy S7.

If we’re talking competition here, LG should have done more as Samsung is not even great when it comes to rolling out updates in a timely manner. It’s just purely disappointing to be a G6 user.
