Next Moto X Won’t Be Coming With MotoMod?

By  |

The long serving Motorola Moto X is about to get a sequel and it is tentatively known as the X4. The upcoming phone promises an exciting new experience from Motorola and a product presentation in China managed to offer us some clues on what the X4 will have to offer.

If you are to check out the Baidu video link here, you can see that the Moto X4 will be coming out with Snapdragon 660 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the device will feature a 5.5” screen with 3D support.

Other features which we are able to find on the video includes 3800mAh battery with Quickcharge, a metal chassis, IP68 ratings, cameras with laser aperture and also a front-facing fingerprint scanner.

Everything sounds great for the Moto X4 until we realized that the phone in the video does not come with MotoMod on the back of the phone. This suggests that MotoMod won’t work on the device but will its absence pose as a problem for the Moto X4 when going on sale in the future?
