Nexus 6P Users Wait For Android 7.1 Rescue
Ever since Google launched Android 7.0 Nougat, the Nexus 6P experience has taken a sour twist. It all started off with the Nougat update, which never made it to the Nexus 6P on launch day. Users of the Nexus 6P had to wait almost 3 months before they received Android Nougat.
It got worse when Google pulled the Nexus 6P out of the Play Store way earlier than expected. Previous Nexus devices were phased out between November and December whereas the Nexus 6P got dismissed in early October.
Now, a new problem has surfaced and it is with a battery draining issue. The majority of Nexus 6P users revealed that they experience crazy battery drain after updating to Android 7.0.
The good news is that Google has acknowledged the issue and they are now working on a fix for it. Google didn’t provide a time frame on when the update will arrive but the speculations are rife in claiming it to come through the Android 7.1 update.
Knowing that Google took forever to launch Android Nougat on the Nexus 6P, we are not expecting a swift roll out for the Android 7.1 update. It is going to be a painful wait for the Nexus 6P users.
