Nokia Could Be Crushed By Android’s Weight

Nokia’s second coming in the smartphone industry looks positive at the moment as they are enjoying decent sales with the Android-powered Nokia 6. The device is already available in China as well as several other countries and it teases on an exciting future with Nokia.

Today, Nokia announced that their master plan to success is through offering the most stable Android OS as well as updates in a timely manner. Getting the former right is easy and the Nokia 6 has proved this point when it received the Android 7.0 update.

However, when it comes to firmware upgrades in a timely manner, it won’t be a walk in the park for Nokia and they may struggle to achieve this goal. We have seen many tech giants making the same claims but they all ended up breaking plenty of promises.

Things are already not looking so great as the Nokia 6 is still pending to receive Android 7.1 update – a firmware that has been around for over a month now. Perhaps the delay may have something to do with the stable firmware rule but we won’t know for sure until the update arrives on the Nokia 6.

Either way, the goals of Nokia in 2017 are something which the tech firm may not be able to achieve. But if Nokia is able to deliver their promise, we can expect them to turn into a serious competitor in the smartphone industry.
