Samsung Galaxy S8 Losing Grip On Software Support?

Samsung is one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in the world and they have a great track record for producing the best devices around. But when it comes to after-sales support, things are pretty much in shambles for Samsung.

Take the Galaxy S8 as an example. The flagship smartphone from last year is not getting the necessary patches in a timely manner. We have an unlocked Galaxy S8 and we are still stuck with December security patch. On the other hand, some S8 users from other regions are already on January patch.

It gets more disturbing when you learn that the old Galaxy S6 is already operating on January patch. Things are simply not in an orderly manner and it wasn’t like this 2 or 3 years ago.

Hence our question, is Samsung losing control on after sales software support? Aside from being slow, the patch rollouts have been very messy.
