ZTE Axon 7: Painful Reminder Of Galaxy S7 Mini
Okay. So we have been guilty of placing too much hope on the return of the Samsung Mini-Series this year and there seems to be no chance for the Galaxy S7 Mini to get released at all. This is pretty disappointing as it means that the small screen market has not many choices to offer.
That was the case until today when a Mini smartphone got released and it immediately made us forget about the S7 Mini. Like how it is mentioned in the title above, the device is known as the ZTE Axon 7.
To be more precise, it is the Axon 7 Mini which is based on the flagship device from ZTE. The Mini version ditches the 5.5” display in favour of a 5.2” screen that operates at 1080p. But of course, the Mini is not as powerful as the original Axon 7 due to its scaled down specs.
The Axon 7 Mini relies on the midrange Snapdragon 617 chipset with 3GB of RAM, 16MP rear camera and a 2,705mAh battery. The good thing about it is that the Axon 7 Mini has front facing speakers, long battery life and support for Daydream VR.
Together with a low price tag of $299.98, the Axon 7 Mini looks to be the bargain of the year. If it managed to turn into a huge hit in the market, it may just force Samsung to bring out the Mini-series all over again.
