ZTE Axon 7: The Perfect Nexus 6P Replacement?

By  |

Despite only being a year old, the Nexus 6P has lost the support from Google as the tech giant suddenly became slow to offer the flagship device the updates it deserves. Instead of focussing on making the Nexus 6P stronger, Google gave all their attention to the new Pixel phones.

It is said that the Pixel devices is a huge leap forward for Google as it replaces the Nexus brand but this does not justify Google’s blind eye way of treating the Nexus 6P.

As a Nexus 6P user ourselves, we are shocked by the lack of support being offered by Google out of a sudden. It all started when Google rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update which failed to make it to the flagship phone on launch day. Then Google launched the Daydream VR.

The virtual reality headset was developed through the Nexus 6P but the phone is still pending to receive official Daydream support. We have lost hope on Google and it was only then when we realized that there is already a Nexus 6P successor on the market.

The phone is called the Axon 7 and it is developed by ZTE. The device is equipped with the best hardwares available today and it is also about to get updated to Android Nougat. The best part is that the Axon 7 is already Daydream ready and it achieved this status way before Google released the Pixel phones.

It is as if the ZTE Axon 7 is the perfect successor for the Nexus 6P. Oh did we mention that the Axon 7 is very similar in size to the Nexus 6P? We recommend you to go check out the phone at Best Buy. Only then will you agree that the Axon 7 is like the next-gen Nexus phone we have been wishing for.
