2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Convertible Shows Off Retractable Roof?

If you like that the 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette has to offer but want to fill a little more wind in your hair, well, the convertible version could be the one for you.

Chevrolet did announce that they are working on a new C8 Corvette convertible and now they have finally released some new image showing the hardtop in action. Unlike the conventional rooftop that uses hydraulic components, the one on the Corvette using electric motors to hide it below the rear tonneau and engine cover.

Like the coupe model, the convertible will still be powered by the 495hp engine that offers about 470lb ft of torque and will be mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Since this is a little heavier, the convertible model could have a slower performance number but we will only know when Chevrolet reveals a little more about it.

To get the convertible, you will have to pay an additional $7500 compared to the coupe.
