2020 Lexus RX crossover was given the Top Safety Pick rating by IIHS but only if you get it with the right lighting.
While certain lighting was the reason why the vehicle was given the Top Safety Pick rating, it was also the reason why it did not get the Top Safety Pick + rating as the base headlights and the premium headlights were given an acceptable and poor rating.
Although the Lexus RX has failed to impress when it comes to the headlights, they did get a good rating for the crash tests with the front crash prevention system getting an impressive superior rating from IIHS.
The 2020 models will be offered with the Lexus Safety System + which will come with new safety features like low-light pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision warning and more.
