2018 Ford Mustang: Configurator Exposes Restrictions & Price Hikes!

By  |

It is official. The 2018 Ford Mustang is now available for pre-order and consumers can head to Ford’s website and plan their purchase with the online configurator. The reports surrounding the Mustang are all singing praises at the car and this is due to the EcoBoost mills becoming cheaper to own.

Unfortunately, the rest of the add-ons have experienced a sharp price hike when compared to the 2017 model. We played around with the configurator earlier today and found a lot of restrictions with the Mustang. We have listed 5 major restrictions and price hike below and would love to hear your thoughts on it.

1. Getting a painted roof with the Mustang will require $995 instead of $695.
2. Performance Pack costs $2,495 instead of $1,995.
3. MagneRide Suspension becomes available only with 101a Package and Performance Package.
4. You can’t get black roof without Black Accent Pack, which can’t be purchased with Performance Package.
5. Wheel locks for the Mustang have turned from $55 to a mandatory $395 option.
